Freezer Meal With Beef, Peppers, Onions

I know, I was meaning when I showtime fabricated and ate this, but this 1 was definitely one of my favorites.

I confess.

I beloved anything with peppers and onions.

It's true.  They are and so yummy to my sense of taste buds!  I could eat them plain (although they're much better cooked).  If you happen to love the taste simply as much equally me, yous'll dear this meal.

I did still, accept a chip of resistance from a couple of my pickier eaters.  They tried information technology similar I told them to, just they picked out the peppers and onions.  I didn't heed that, I simply took them and ate them up for myself.  That meant that I got more!  Win, win for me!   The kids did beloved the meat and sauce!  ðŸ™‚

Crockpot Sausage & Peppers

Ingredients:

2 lbs sweet or hot Italian sausages
two onions
3 red, yellowish or light-green peppers, cut into two″ slices
two cloves of garlic
14 oz tin can diced tomatoes
half-dozen oz tin can of tomato plant paste
1/2 cup beef broth
1 T. dried Italian seasoning
ane/4 t. pepper

Directions:

Brown the Italian Sausages in a skillet.  (I ordinarily start with them whole, then slice them up while they're cooking….they stay in tact and go along their shape meliorate that way).  Layer half of the onions on lesser of slow cooker, and so add half of the peppers.  Put all of the browned sausage on height of that, followed by the residue of the onions and peppers.  Mix together diced tomatoes, tomato paste and beef goop and pour over the top.  Cook on low for half-dozen hours.  1 hour before mixture is done, add the spices.  Stir.  Cover and cook an boosted 60 minutes.

Freezer to Slow Cooker Instructions:

  1. Brown Italian Sausages
  2. While browning, slice peppers and onions.
  3. Place onions and peppers and browned meat in freezer prophylactic bag.
  4. Mix together diced tomatoes, lycopersicon esculentum paste and beef goop and identify in a 2nd freezer handbag.
  5. Label & Freeze
  6. Follow instructions on cooking twenty-four hours.
  7. Information technology helps to at least accept the sauce thawed out when you're putting it in the slow cooker, but non required.

Freezer to Slow Cooker Directions:

  • Chocolate-brown Italian sausages.

  • While browning, slice peppers and onions.

  • Place onions and peppers and browned meat in freezer rubber purse.

  • Mix together diced tomatoes, tomato paste and beef broth and identify in a second freezer purse.

  • Label & freeze.

  • Follow instructions on cooking day

  • Information technology helps to at to the lowest degree have the sauce thawed out when you're putting it in the slow cooker, but not required
